- Drew Junior/Senior Academy Spring Title I Meeting – We will hold our Parent/Guardian Title I Input Meeting on Thursday, March 14 at 5:30 p.m. in the Eva Davis Board Room. Join our conversation as we review and update our Junior Academy School Compact, Senior Academy School Compact and School Parent and Family Engagement Plan for next school year. If you can’t make it we’d still love your feedback. You can complete our quick, ten question Title I Input Survey online. - SA PTA Parent Gatherings – On January 17th, we hosted our monthly PTA Senior Academy Parent Gathering on the topic of “Student Portfolios.” These gatherings typically occur every third Thursday of the month, alternating between 8:15 am and 5:00 pm. Our next Gathering will be held on Thursday, March 21st at 8:15 am and the topic will be Restorative Practices.

- Lottery Application Window for New Students – Applications for new students are open now. If your student has a sibling who is interested in attending Drew, the lottery application window for potential new students is from February 1, 2019 – April 30, 2019. The online application is available on Drew’s website and all qualifying applications will be included in the lottery on May 9th. Please note that the lottery is for potential new students only; all current Drew students will have the opportunity to re-enroll (see below). Additional lottery information can be found at www.drewcharterschool.org/enrollment. Please contact the Enrollment Team at 404-450-0567 or admissions@drewcharterschool.org with any questions.
- Re-enrollment for the 2019-2020 school year is happening now!
Between Monday, March 18 and Friday, March 29, 2019, all current Drew Charter School students (rising 1st -12th) who are returning for the 2019-2020 school year must complete the re-enrollment process. Please note that students currently attending the Cox Pre-K Program at Drew who are interested in attending Drew for kindergarten do not go through the re-enrollment process; they must submit a lottery application by April 30, 2019.
There are three steps to re-enrollment:- Complete the online re-enrollment form, available at www.drewcharterschool.org/reenroll.
- Submit updated proof of residence documents. Parents/guardians must come onsite (JA/SA Practice Gym) between March 18 and March 29, 2019 to provide updated proof of residence documents. Details about the schedule and location can be found here. Please see the Enrollment Checklist for information about required documents.
- Verification of documents. Following verification by Drew staff, a letter will be mailed indicating final re-enrollment status.

- Reminder: Lunch Balances – Please take a moment to check your student’s lunch balance at www.MySchoolBucks.com. Any student who owes money, will need to bring cash to pay for lunch until their balance is cleared. Outstanding balances can be paid down and money can be added to students’ accounts on this website. More information is available in this letter.
- SPACE IS: Shelter – Celebrate your Culture! Calling all parent Volunteers for Space is the New Place and the International Night and Visual Arts Sale, Friday, April 19, 2019. Food court and Art Sale begins on the 3rd floor of the Yates campus @ 4pm including food sampling and reception. Performance begins at 8pm. The Theme for this year’s Space is the New Place is “Shelter”; A Celebration utilizing the SPACE of the Yates Campus with artistic presentations demonstrating the STEAM model. Parent volunteers are needed to assist with bringing food samples from around the world. This is a fund raiser for the Visual Arts Department. We are asking parents to donate ethnic foods complete with small serving plates,forks, decorated tables, flags, etc. to represent the country of origin, set up and organize the food. Dress up in your native garb!
