Back by popular demand! After a few years of hiatus, the PTA offers mums sales this year. The mums come in two sizes and price points, along with 3 different colors – yellow, orange, and purple. Choose between the following sizes, then select your color choice:
Our first asynchronous day of the 2023-2024 school year is just around the corner, Friday, August 25th. There will be no in-person or live virtual learning. This day allows students to engage with their coursework independently while our dedicated staff holds conferences with parents. This day is dedicated to content review and application of previously taught materials. No new content will be introduced, allowing students to reinforce their understanding. We will share more information about student assignments as we move closer to the date.
Get ready to celebrate the importance of attendance this September! Whether you’re a student, parent, or staff member in our Drew Community, this is your chance to recognize how being present and punctual contributes to students’ success.
Why does it matter? Regular attendance is more than just showing up – it’s about active participation, growth, and building a strong Drew Community environment.
Starting Friday, September 1, students, teachers, and parents who follow Drew’s attendance policy all month long will qualify for a chance to win prizes – including gift cards, amusement park tickets, movie tickets, and more! There will also be a celebratory event held in October. Stay tuned for more details.

If you had a remaining pre-paid balance on your APS MySchoolBucks account, you have until September 1, 2023 to request a refund directly from APS by completing their meal refund form.
Please exercise caution to help keep everyone safe during morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups.
Please obey crossing guards and school police officers directing traffic
Please stop behind the crosswalk, leaving plenty of room for pedestrians to cross
Decrease your speed
Avoid passing other vehicles that are stopped for pedestrians
Remain focused on the road and avoid distracted driving
Check side mirrors and blind spots before making a right-hand turn
Allow bicyclists to pass you before turning left at an intersection
Leave at least 3 feet of distance between your vehicle and the bicycle when passing
Exercise caution and drive slowly near bicyclists, particularly children
Look in your side mirrors before opening your car door
Recently, Atlanta Public Schools (APS), in partnership with the City of Atlanta, adopted the School Zone Speed Safety Camera Program, and the program has launched within Drew’s school zone. Please click here to learn more about the school zone speed safety camera program in APS.

This year we’re getting in S.H.A.P.E. and reviving our Senior Academy norms. By getting into S.H.A.P.E we plan to:

Honor Trust – show integrity and honesty
Act Responsibly – good judgement, good decisions, and be accountable
Present Professionally – uniform on properly and take pride in how your presentation
Evaluate Self – build skills to regulate and deal with emotions
This year we all will work together to focus on S.H.A.P.E. – ing up for the school year.
